Unique gold, silver & pink gold metallic background with simple designs. Remove page before coloring

This coloring book is unique. Instead of white pages, it has gold, silver & pink gold metallic, heavyweight, posterboard type pages. The book is about 3/4" thick with its page edges colored orange on all three sides. The orange edges bring out the orange in the cover's design.
As I began coloring a page in the book, the pages in front (of the one I was coloring) came out of the binding in two groups. That's when I realized that the book is designed for the pages to be removed for coloring. The pages seem to be bound together at the top like a notepad & are slightly sticky.
The heavyweight paper is perfect for framing.
The designs are simple and don't take as much time to color as the other books I own.
Designs are mostly leaves along with scenes which include birds, dragonflies, butterflies, flowers and fish.
For best results, I suggest you remove the page you're coloring from the book. It is easy to remove.

1" thick, library-bound, adult coloring book with outlines of various simplicity

This is a beautiful adult coloring book and is surprisingly thick; one inch thick to be exact. It has 60 designs that, although they appear simplistic, do take hours to color. Colored pens or pencils can be used. Since I did not have any artist pencils or tools to work with, I had to purchase LYRA Rembrandt Aquarell Artists' Colored Pencils, Set of 72, Assorted Colors (2011720) to test this book.
LIKES:
- What I like is that the image is on one side so that there is no bleeding through.
- Although the images appear simplistic, some are not actually so simple so hours of fun can be had from one piece of art. For instance, I picked what I thought was a relatively easy coloring project and it took me one week in half hour to hour intervals to finish the piece. A picture of the finished product is attached. Remember I'm not an artist and this is the first time coloring for me (except with crayons as a toddler). Therefore, I chose colors that I thought go together but might not be true to form--like a pink and orange bird with teal head and blue eyes.
- In this "Magic Garden" there are images of birds, dragonflies, lady bugs, butterflies, many leaves, and a few flowers.
- Coloring can be a form of meditation; kind of like reading a good book. I felt a sense of calm when I did this once piece.
- Each page background is in gold, champagne, or other similar looking metallic variation and not just plain white.
DISLIKES:
- Some of the pages do fall apart when opening the book. I'm not bothered by this because eventually they need to be pulled out just to color in the book or to frame the art. However, those who prefer the artwork to remain bound in the book will be sadly disappointed.
- Since the book is thick, it's easier to color if the page is removed from the book first.
In summary, I feel this is a really great, yet somewhat simplistic, adult coloring book that enables one to produce artwork suitable for framing.

My New Favorite

LOVE the shiny backgrounds. So much nicer than the usual plain white. The pictures are also very artistic, unique and beautiful I'm not sure that one can keep the pages in the book itself. I usually take them out but thought it would be nice to leave it in this time, but, the pages just start to separate from the binding. Which doesn't bother me at all, but, if you are the type that likes to leave the pages intact, you might not like that part of it. The pages are nice and thick as well. It would seem as of now that there are two similar books from this artist and I bought and love both of them.
